Clearly not - I bought this originally from eBay a couple of months ago. Can you point me to where I can find the relevant information on this then?

I can't see anything immediately by googling it? I know that it would be certainly irresponsible to release this into a wild lake, pond or river - but can't see how it would be a problem in an enclosed garden pond or indoor aquarium?

I was told that this is very good for bubble breeders in an aquarium and also can slow down algae growth in an outdoor pond as it can limit the amount of light entering the pond and will take up nutrients that algae would otherwise use. My Goldfish also seem to love eating it.

This duck weed covers all our local ponds round here. I thought it was that other stuff Fairyfern that was the problem as its not native. Garden centres sell loads of both of these so dont see why its suddenly illegal

Fairy moss is completely different, here is a picture

Even so I think that it is only illegal to introduce alien species into a natural environment or where it could get into one such as a pond, steam, river or lake.

Not to sure on the laws but i know alot of people have stopped selling this as if it is left to its own devices can cause numerous problems where ever it is put.

It does look nice to a certain extent but you have to consider where to use it.

In a terrarium it could look quite interesting.
