They look like giant waxy monkey frogs.
Is Argentine leaf frog another name for them.

I'm not sure really. I think theyre kind of the same thing but theres loadsa subfamilies. and they come from different places. i looked it up and in the search pictures for argentine leaf frog they are brighter and look a bit bigger and have bigger lumpy bits on their head. I dunno to be fair? lol.

They go by the same scientific name? Phyllomedusa sauvagii. maybe looks just vary on where its from?

Phyllomedusa sauvagii are normally sold as waxy monkey frogs.

Pollywog list these alternative names, might help your search:
Waxy Monkey Frog, Painted-bellied Leaf Frog, Painted Monkey Frog and Grasping Frog

there are 2 species of phylomedusa that look v.similar so thats probably what you're thinking of. There p.sauvagii and p.bicolor
