I highly reccomend getting a waterfall, my humidity is 85-95% As well as having a large water dish in there and regular misting, i only mist mine once a day, It also depends on the type of substrate you have, i use Forest Bed and it works well.
Is it possible for you to put up a piccy of your setup?

there is know exact level for humidity because depending on the origin of the frog (panama, mexico ect) it will vary slightly, however all care sheets and books i have say between 60 and 80 so try aiming for 70... IMO 60 should be the lowest as 50 is starting to get towards dry, i personally think it is better higher than lower, as dry air will harm your frogs.
i would try not spraying to much in a panic as this will just flood your viv and leave alot of water and mess every where.... if you are getting over 60 i wouldnt worry too much.

you need to cycle the humidity, for a few months it should be 50-60, then change it up to 80-90 for a rainy season. youl find with a constant high humidity, the terrarium will start to stink.
and dont use one of those waterfalls for a baby red eye. just spray once a day, and NOT directly onto the frog

if the viv is starting to smell i would be more worried about my ventilation than the high humidity...
IMO the cycle is more important if you are trying to bread rather than just keep and maintain a healthy red eye...
