Exclamation Dart Frogs advice

I'm seriously considering getting one/two I just wanted to ask a few things.

1, what are the best dart frogs to get, the ones that really appeal to me are the D.Azerous (Blue and Black), D.Lecumelas(Yellow and black), D.Pumilio (Strawberry).

I've read up on them all but the D.A and D.L seem to be the easist to keep, but what are your opinions?

2, Are they better singular or a pair? Do males get territorial with other males?

3, How much did everything cost to set up if you don't mind me asking =P.

I work in a petshop so access to everything needed. These frogs are something i'd love to get into i'm obsessed about there colours lol.

4, Does anyone know where i could buy from locally (Manchester) If anyone has any contacts with breeders to give me a message please. Thanks.

~Ben

I am getting 4 leucomeles, arriving tommorrow, courtesy of dartfrog.
It all depends on how much space you have. I have used a 24x15x15" fishtank, which I have been assured is enough space for 4 leucomeles, but only 2 azureus.
In terms of cost, I already had the tank, which was fitted with UV tubes. The cork backing was about £13, the hides were £2 each, and the 6 live plants came to around £10. The substrate is ecoearth, I used 2 blocks.
price of the frogs varies, my leucs cost £25 each. Have a look at Dartfrog - Everything for the Amphibian Keeper they have everything, loads of different frogs, and the service I had was second to none.

Out of the 3 species, azureus and leucomelas are the hardiest and easiest to keep for beginners. They also tend to be more active than pumilio which often stay in the axils of the bromeliads in the viv.

They are best kept in pairs or trios. In leucomelas and azureus the females are agressive to each other and in pumilio it is the males.

I use Exoterras for all my frogs but the set up will cost as much as you want. Depends on which background, plants, substrate and lighting you use. I have set vivs up for around £40 and also for around the £500 mark. The only limit is your wallet and your imagination.

You have a PM

Thanks.
