Default Reed Frog spawn care...

We got some "Painted Reed Frogs" into the shop last week, and on the first or second night a huge blob of spawn appeared...
It was placed on very damp eco earth, and not in the water dish. I've not moved it, and can see the tadpoles developing - a big creamy blob with a thin tadpole around it, I guess the creamy bit will shrink and disappear before they hatch.
So... What do I need to do?! How do I get them to water? I guess I could increase the water level in there, but what about the tads that haven't hatched yet - or do they all go at once?

As for species I don't really know... They're not marmoratus, which are the ones I've seen as "painted reed frogs" before.
They're pretty big for reed frogs, and emerald green and chocolate brown.

Any help would be much appreciated! I've never looked after frog spawn before (bar the native ones)...

Thanks!

Scoop them up soil and all and place them in a container with a few mm of water in the base, as the tads hatch they will wriggle their way down into the water. It may be best to angle the container so the water pools in one end and makes it easier for the tads to wriggle down hill.

Okey dokey - thanks!
Wish me luck - I bet they're going to be super tiny when they hatch... I've nabbed a selection of liquid and fish fry food from work too. I also have a barrel of RO water - should I use that?

I wouldn't use RO water for tadpoles unless you want to kill them, it's not good stuff for raising tadpoles. Spring water or aged tap water is best. They should take powder foods when they start eating Sera Micron & or Spirulina Algae powder are ideal. They probably will be quite small tads but they will grow quickly. Good luck with them.

Thanks again - I'll get some tap water standing now, at a guess watching the development I think I have about 3 or 4 days, maybe 5 until hatching.
I'll let you know how I get on!
