I have a feeling the venom is only halusonagenic if you smoke it, I don't really know though, I just remember reading that in the past.
Generaly speaking though the toxins will likely just make you ill. :-D |

I ve often wondered this myself but after talking with someone who has said that the main weakness of the arguments supporting toxins as being hallucinogenic is the lack of any evidence demonstrating how any chemical components of the venom of Bufo marinus can be safely consumed. The main components of the venom include the various alkaloids, which can cause potent cardiovascular effects if eaten
Apparantly neither snuffs nor aerosols containing pure bufotenine induced any hallucinogenic and/or psychoactive effects whatsoever Also, the Bufo marinus’ venom contains bufodienolies. It was agreed that Because of the toxicity of the cane toad venom its considered that no one should even smoke it. Colorado river toads how ever are a different story. lol |

Does any one know if you can keep a River Toad with Fire Bellys? I doubt it but I cant find the information anywhere. I wonder if anyone has actually tried toad licking? A pretty dumb thing to do! ![]() S M |
