Just wondering do the female's of the species make noise when you go near them/pick them up?

usually not but if they are really stressed they will scream at you

Heh, just reading your question I already know what you're thinking.

You've got a young one right? and its very quiet so you're starting to think that its a female, and thus will grow much bigger. Inside you're thinking 'yessssssssssssssssss!!!'

Actually we got a pair in work, one of which bit me when i was transferring it to its new home. Thinking of getting the albino one we have.

How painful was the bite? lol...daft question I know but its something I've always wondered and didnt fancy trying it for myself.

Just a nip, was only a small one, probably bout an inch/inch and a half. Was more shocked than anything.

they do look rely funny when the bite thoguh. as if their trying to be a snake and dislocating their jaw but cant!
