Default Red Eared Terrapin

Hi,

Can anyone give me any advise on where to purchase a red eared terrapin. I have kept two of them for a number of years now, and sadly afew days ago one of them died. I am now in the process of finding a new friend for my remaining terrapin. The shop I originally bought them from has closed down and I can't find anywhere that sells them

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!

Have you tried any rescue centers in your area. Alot of red earred tarrapins often find themselves being dumped when they get to large for their owners tanks and need to move to a pond area.

Yeah, I was thinking of giving the RSPCA a ring but didn't know if there was an organisation that specialised in taking in terrpains, turtles ect...

I've looked on the internet but can't find anything

Ive just noticed you have put a post on the shelled section too. Im sure theirs a couple of forum members that rescue these so hopefully one of those will notice your post and be able to help you.

Try this forum too. You may have more luck placing a ad in the classified section on there.
