Exclamation Whites treefrog growth

Hello, im new to this site and i have two whites treefrogs. They are about 3" but not quite. So i was wondering if these frogs grow fast or slow and what methods help to speed their growth and bulk them up, and what the most nutricious foods are for them. Thank you guys so much.

Hmm... Not sure about getting them to grow any faster. And what do you mean by bulk up? If you want him to get fat, which I love mine that way , feed it a little extra . As for the healthiest food, I would say pin head crickets. Dust them with Vitamin C/Calcium powder. It works wonder for the frogs! Yours will surely grow a little past 3 inches if ones a male, and probaly four if one is a female! That would be great if one was male and one female. I heard that they're eggs hatch overnight!

they grow pretty fast i got a wee one about 1.5 inches in august and shes almost fully grown like Mihogan said just well fed crickets and vitamin dust you can treat them with waxworms but there too fatty to be a main food and the whites tend to miss and try and eat your hand instead lol they also really really like garden earth worms too (if you dont have a garden like me you can buy them online)

Males tend to stay about 3inches, females a bit bigger. As for growth rates, i must say that mine have grown pretty slowly. I got my 1st as subadults, and then a baby months later, and although friends say WOw they've grown, i dont see a massive change!! But i didnt have a good scale when i started so i can directly compare.

Pinhead crickets would be way too small for a whites, they;re really only good for the newly metamorphosed, and dart frogs. Any livefood is only really as good as what you feed it.

A crickets stomach will overturn basically every hour, so you need to make sure they;re fed a nutricious diet to make sure they pass it on to your frogs. I feed potato and carrot for moisture and vits (they often drown in a water dish) and i feed fish flakes, algae pellets (for catfish etc) spare Crested Gecko diet and anything else i find spare. Oh and needless to say, dust with nutrabol or treefrog dust before you feed.

Whites are prone to obesity, and it can kill so you do want to wtch they're weight, but a nice healthy tum wont do any harm (mine should know!). A good indicator of obesity is when the supratympanic ridges (the ridges over their eyes) become so large they dropp into over the eye. If however you feel your frog is underweight, or want to treat them then waxworms are a fun treat!!
