Default native newts

I found some common newts (i think) in my little water feature in my garden.

Was just wondering what i should feed them as there are no insects (i can see) in there. Also do they need a place to get out of the water?

I don't want to disturb them, but i want them to survive. There is no way for them to leave the water, so i was gonna put a few stones as land areas

Cheers

Hmmm... If they got in there they probably can get out. If theres a couple in there they're probably in there for a reason. I would just let them go for now. Good luck, keep us posted.
