Default No UV - full spectrum for whites?

is it true that whites dont need any special lighting? i just read a care sheet thet said not but i always thought they did...

There's no real evidence to say either way, the jury is out. Techincally, they are a nocturnal species and they can be kept perfectly well without. however i do keep mine with a low level UV bulb. I did some research a while back on frogs and UV that actually found that with high levels of uv, hatch rate of spawn decreases quite significantly, and they could only guess at the other problems it would cause. For that reason i'd never use above a 7%

i know lots of people that do yes. As long as you have a day/night cycle with a normal bulb theyre fine!
