you can handle them but i wouldnt advice it reguarly as amphibians have delicate skin. you also need to make sure your hands are wet when handling them otherwise the temps from your hands can halm the frog/toad.

No you shouldnt handle them. They take things in threw their skin and even if you wash your hands the toxins produced on your skin are harmfull to them. So if you have to handle then wear gloves, or wash your hands and handle it imediatley for a very very short time. Also they stress easily so best leave them be.

some frogs can be handled if needed (they don't 'enjoy' it and it can be bad for both of you) but you should never really handle anything as small/delicate as a red eye excpet at cleanouts/healthchecks etc

I have a cane? Toad and an african bullfrog.
The cane is happy to be handled, I use sanitising gel before and after, but I don't handle him often. I always make sure my hands are quite wet while I handle them.
The bullfrog doesn't like to be handled so I don't handle him.
They do have quite delicate skin although not as delicate as the tree frogs etc.

I read that frogs can't deal with the salts from your skin - quite bad for them apparently. BUT I also read that White's enjoy being handled, which is confusing... Do they enjoy it or do they just put up with it?! You read so much conflicting info... it's a nightmare!

They put up with it.

Our hands are very, very hot compared to their skin - even withough them being able to tell us what they think of this, I can't imagine it feels nice.

Frogs are brilliant candidates for setting up a really nice naturalistic tank/vavarium and watching them get on with life.
