if i'm not mistaken red belly and fire belly are the same thing!! i have 3 fire bellied. and yes they do have toxins released from their body which are poisinous, but they are no where near dangerous in any way. the only thing i'd say is dont go eating them!! not that you would lol! if you were to get them just make sure you thouroughly wash your hands after handling them or the stuff they've touched. also don't mix with any other frog/toad etc. hope this helps! sam
