I am due to take delivery of my vivarium, which will be housing my White's this week.
I have opted for a 45x45x60 Exo Terra viv. I realise this comes with a pre fab background and would like to find out how good these are. I found a good site the other day which offered a great step by step guide to creating your own using Silicone, expanding foam and CoCo? By creating in this method, would it be possible to set the hole back drop up as a waterfall by running tubes along the back and having them trickle down the front? I have also seen a lot of people using medium to large river pebbles as a base for the tank and having them tapre to creat pools. Is this advisable or is it still possible this would harm the frogs? |

Hiya, not sure if i posted this before or not but heres my viv... i use the prefab background as a base for my foam/silicone one and it works great.

Thanks Gecko,
What about the base are large river pebbles ok, as I wanna keep the floor mainly water with a slate stack for a dry spot. I'm planning on quite heavy planting and climbing bit's like vines and driftwood, if I was to use natural plants and moss how will I get them to take (i will be keeping plants in pots)? |
