Had some problems with my axy, but with some amazing help from sami everything is ok now!!! but. he now seems to like being mostly out of the water........... is he changing?... i laughed when i thought of it, but whi knows anythign can heppen!!

Actually scientific studies have proven that axoltls when forced out of the aquatic environment WILL eventually change. Wonder if I can find the reference to some studies.

I have never kept them with a land area myself.

mine doesnt have land, but he is sittignon top of his hide... a flower pot, being mostly out of water, his front half!

The drying up of water areas or a chemical change in the water can both trigger metamorphosis in axy's.

Have you changed anything about your set-up recently?
