Personally I wouldn't. They still have delicate amphibian skin and it can be affected by the oils in your skin.

i duno if you woudl wear gloves or somthing? personally when i hold my metermorphisied axolotl i wet my hands.. but i have only done it once or twice.. i try notto handle him.

They dislike being handled and can get stressed, also as SSthisto says their skin is very delicate and you can easily damage it.

If you absolutely have to handle them you should have wet hands and do it as quickly as possible.

have wet, clean hands that are cool and you can but don't hold them regularly...

I have always used an amphib friendly alcohol gel before handling sallys. i made sure my hands were clean and free from chemicals etc by washing them first.

it is best not to handle them when it can be avoided.

Wetting your hands with distilled water will help reduce the amount of damage caused to their skin too.

Most gloves:
a) containt oils, chemicals, or other powder products
b) are porous and harbour bacteria and other stuff you wouldnt think of...ie hairspray, insect killer, deoderant etc.
