A lovely little catfish. Variant of the Asian redtail catfish only grows not quite as large. In captivity expect this to grow anywhere from 60cm to 120cm but they tend to stay more to the smaller end of that scale.
They dont have a good reputation as a tankmate but with careful choices this catfish will work fine in a com of large predatory fish. It is predatory not aggressive and as long as it is kept well feed ad tanked with fish who keep active, stay away from the bottom, dont shy away if confronted and grow to a good size then this catfish will be fine and well behaved. Put in a tank of mid sized slow moving bottom dwellers and good by tank stock hello one fat catfish...
I would prefer this to go to a big catfish nut who knows what they are doing. and please dont be surprised if i as what you intend to stock with this as its for you sack aswell as the catfish.
