I have decided to keep a blog of photos/description of the hand rearing of an african pygmy hedgehog. His life is extremely unstable at the moment and chances of success are low. This is the first APH I have ever tried to hand rear.
The situation:
Mother, first litter, ate one hoglet and abandoned the other. On veterinary and breeder advice the hoglet was removed.
Course of Action:
Welpi puppy formula (warm), currently 0.3ml every 2 hours during the daytime...
