help

i have a corn snake about 1 year old i have no clue of the sex i am totally new to this so bare with me. my question to everyone out there is ive been looking after my friends corn snake while hes away on holidays i introduced the 2 snakes to each other a few times no problems but tonight i was showing someone the 2 snakes and within a blink of an eye the 2 were mating i didnt no what to do they were together for awhile dont if no if the whole thing was normal the way it happened im felling very worried about the whole thing what will i do any help would be very much appreicated will they be ok how do i no which is male and female because my will need to no if there is going to be babies help!!!!!!!!??
