It can also be difficult for the buyer when hatchlings are not used to hunting their food.

We let ours go from 6-8 weeks depending on weight or if we want to see what they look like in a few more weeks we hold on to them.
hya faith, i was worried because she spent 2 days trying to catch the mealies and crix so i fed her on tweezers ever since.

on a different note i have one hatching as i write this!
i have took pix and recording it so will get them up when i can.

aww great
When you do come to sell her try to make sure she is catching the crickets or eating mealies on her own
Or let the new owner know

Congrats on the other hatchling

the ones im taking to the show are all over 4 weeks old but there are a few that will be 3 weeks and im umming and aarring over to take them or not. as long as they are healthy and feeding well and the buyer knows what they are doing then theres no reason why they cant be sold younger than 4-6 weeks. gotta be carefull not to stress them too much though.

We don't sell younger than three months but as said it's your choice and they buyers choice. The only benefit really of waiting is that you can get to know the baby and any problems you can deal with rather than giving a near-on newly-hatched baby and find out he/she's got a problem.
