I am sure there will be a thread somewhere no search engine for threads on here maybe a good idea to put one on unless there is one and I have not found it......

Anyway want to get some locusts breeding any tips etc...

I have a 5ft tank with peat 5" thick and mesh in side for em to hang on heat bulb 60 watt on 24-7?

sponges in bowls of water so they can get some damp if they need.

Feed daily greens etc at one end have a few bark chips where I feed em?

any thing I am doing wrong or need to add or change please say.

Lots of beardie eggs in incubator so want to get this up and running in good time.

I had my first lot of eggs hatch on saturday except the lil buggers got out of container so i spent a good 2 hours collecting up over 60 baby locusts lol

my setup is very simple, plastic faunium(huge1) basking light on 1 end with heat mat underneath. Base covered in bran and lots of branchs to climb on. Bowl of greens/fruit which gets added to daily as they eat lots, and 2 jam jars filled with damp sand...thats it and before i knew it i had loads of baby locusts. Only 1 downfall out of my 50 adults 20 have died, i dont know if that was their life span or something wasnt right but others are great and at it everyday!
