hi, i keep my males on their own and females in pairs or trios and i have a question for people who breed leos but keep males seperat to females,
do you put the male in with the female or the female in with the male? just curious if it makes a difference? i always used to put the male in the females viv, but now i have multiple males and want different males to mate with females from the same groups, does it matter which way round you put them?

I personally introduce the female to the male's viv.
I find that although the male is territorial, this is not such a major thing if the introduced animal is a RECEPTIVE female. It also keeps the male from mating ALL your females (he will - you can't guarantee he'll only pick the girl you wanted him to breed) and you can remove her quickly from the viv if she isn't receptive.
