Default Is It Really That Easy?!

I put one of my male corns in with the female a month or so ago. (have been seperating for feeding)

I haven't seen any locks, but did find some yellowy 'goo' in the viv, which I assumed/thought was the male snakes, um, semen...

Both male and female shed within a week of being put together. Tonight the female looks like she is going into shed again, and refused her feed. She never refuses a feed, even when in shed. Her backbone is very slightly more obvious than usual, and I am convinced her belly scales are 'rounder' on the half of her body near her vent, but it is extremely subtle. She doesn't look any bigger/fatter than usual really though, at least, it isn't obvious.

Could she be gravid already?

Hi

this year I have had 11 clutches of corn eggs.

The time between mating and laying has varied between 34 and 68 days.

So I would say yes.

regards

John

Thankyou.

I have peered at the poor girl again today, she is blue now and her belly scales are kind of 'stuck out' compared to my others. But the differences are really very subtle, so I am not sure if I am imagining it.

I have put a lay box in just in case, and will keep an eye on her.

Better get an incubator sorted, I guess...

Thanks again.
