I have used Vivbuilder and would use him again in a heartbeat... wonderful vivs, built and delivered quicker than expected and for a very good price. Sorry to hear others have had bad experiences but I have had nothing but good things to say about him.

I have never bought a viv from the Vivbuilder but have emailed him with some enquiries, I got a prompt and friendly reply.

I obviously can't comment on the quality of his work as I've never bought from him but I find his prices reasonable and would consider it in the future.

People often ask for opinions on this or that but as you've seen from the comments above you often get a mixed response, the only way of knowing about the quality of his product is to find out for yourself.

I've removed a few posts from this thread.

If you are going to comment on a business please do so in the most professional manner - that is, state exactly what the problem was, how you contacted the business and what they offered to do for you in compensation.

I don't think comments about this shop or that shop or your mates or your boyfriends cousins monkeys uncle having some "shoddy work", really helps as it's hard to know the situation if you are not intimately involved in all the details of it.

I would always suggest contacting a business before airing public grievances, and if you do have a problem with a business, you are entitled to state facts but there were a few comments that weren't really helpful

Just got my Viv from them...only 3 weeks late. It was a mess. Everything was damaged and parts broken. Some of the wood was also odd colours. The packaging was a disgrace to be honest. I will looking for a full refund. They appear to be ignoring my emails and the phone doesnt work so i will be getting trading standards involved and taking them to small claims court unless the give me a full refund by this sunday.

NOT HAPPY

I understand the situation he is in but im sorry the level of customer service regardless of the situation was poor. Just because you either know him or have had good business with him previously doesnt not mean that its ok to treat a customer how i was. I recevied no updates on what was going on AT ALL over the 6 weeks unless i emailed him. I was never given a date for delivery when she said "I will contact you after easter to arrange for delivery"

I got no email about it and then today it just turned up at my home address when i wanted it at work. Im now worried that because a neighbour signed for it and it was damged i wont be able to claim.

Ive emailed him again asking firstly if he could replace the broken part rather than have the entire viv sent back. I really would like to talk over the phone rather than email though but cant get hold of him.

i am sure you will get your viv sorted out soon..By the way would you just clarify how much damage there is exactly?? as you have firstly said in the above quote that everything was damaged...but in your next post it is just one piece that needs replacing..????????????

Well only one part has actually snapped in half. Other than that all four corners of the base are ruined to be honest. There was no padding on the corners however i can buy some corner pieces to cover this myself (not that i should have to). I did feel it worth getting them to send a whole new base part aswel as that would be a waste of time. However they are now dealing with me and sending the new part to work this time where i will be able to check it myself.
