would it not be a better solution to arrange for a big order from an american breeder that regularly goes to the german shows? we dont have to pay anything brought in from germany do we if its for personal collections? and will cut down the fees surely ,even if it does add a small surcharge on the whole order? just a thought, could be wrong. but i would like to stay informed on this one. somebody should make a mailing list of all people interested!

Good to dabble in if prices are right and it's doable for sure. Canadians are good too for their balls.

sounds logical, but in hamm this month it appeared to me that $700 snakes were 1000 euros form american breeders! purely because they know eurpoeans can pay more....if they can sell for more in germany than they can in the states, there's no reason why they should drop the price for us if they're gonna go through the hastle anyway maybe. I just emailed an american breeder who ships to the uk and this was his reply: Max, you will have to check with your local government on the importation side of things. The US costs associated with an export are 580.00 this includes CITES USFW fees.US broker fees US customs packing and Air freight up to 30 Kilos. Since you mentioned vat. I can only assume you are in the EU somewhere. the only country in the EU I will not export to is France. as they have some paperwork that the French and US governments will not both agree on and that makes export to there extremely difficult. Let me now if I can be of further assistance. Thanks Michael Cole Ballroom Pythons South www.BallroomPythonsSouth.com'' so the us side of things will brokerage cites and shipping with current exhcange is £265, which split between a number of us is not much when you can be saving £500 on an albino! i know other breeders may offer what he is at lower prices too, just got to work on the english handling side of things. the good thing with ordering lots of snakes would be that if you order say 20 times the amount of snakes your would, the shipping costs only go up say 3 times, so the more you were to order and split the costs on with more people, the more you could save

its obviously not as simple as send money, pick up snakes and everyones got a bargain, the list sounds like a lot to do with vet checks, cites etc, but we're not the ones doing it, we'd just be paying for it
![]() obvioulsy all the costs will add up to a fair wack, but spread over numerous snakes and between numerous buyers, it should still end up a hell of a lot cheaper than buying in the uk or europe. its just gonna take some careful planning throughout once all aspects have been looked at and calculated I've emailed a few american breeders and it should cost below £300 for them to sort out cites airport and freight charges, then its just the english side of things. I've emailed a few british impoters i know of who import royals from america, to sell on for profit in the uk (which isnt my aim...just for my own collection) but am awaiting replies for them, and ive also emailed DEFRA hopefully to get a full report on the legalities and processes for importing them. All i can find on the defra website on international trade of live animals is : '' Pet reptiles Reptiles are cold-blooded, egg-laying vertebrates, e.g. snakes and tortoises. There are no animal health import requirements for pet reptiles. These animals can be brought into the UK as long as they are accompanied by their owner and a letter from a vet or the owner stating that the animals are fit and healthy to complete the journey. ''

Ive been thinking lol,
it works out sooooooo much cheeper, snakes are hundredsssss off, say 10 people agree to do it, and they want 5ish snakes each, around 500grams each. = 60 snakes in a 30kg load max. 5ish = 50 total. then cost of inporting so on, 300 = 30 each, britsih side, say 200, = 50 each Over all saveing thousandsssss, and getting more morphs in the birtish market. I have done allll this thinking because i want an albino soooooo badly lol, and 2 pastels, and more normals ![]() Cumonnn there has to be some peopleee who are interested enough Safeeeeeeeeeeeeeee x
