There is someone on here who amazes me, because I see no end of threads on here and other sites where they are trying to sell what they have, because they need space/money whatever, to then see them on another thread offering to rehome something.

Animals of any sort are not something you should chop and change, if your circumstances change then fair enough, but if you don't bother to research the animal before you buy then just to sell it on because you're bored with it is wrong.

we have quite a list of people we won't sell to. Some people have a frightening turn over rate for animals!

We also have a list of people we won't buy from, ie people who make it bloody obvious they don't bother with things like QT.

she is a genuine woman, lovely family and wonderful snakes! def buy from her cause I am cerainly going back to her for my next ones!!

Just out of interest, and i'm not being funny with anyone here,
Would people not sell to people because they have a high turnover of buying/selling animals??? If certain people can say that, i personally hope they have NEVER bought from a shop!!!!!

Would people not sell to me? Cornmorphs? or Ballpiefun? because we have imported from the U.S? and may sell on.

I know there are some serious issues within this thread; ie health and animal welfare. But i wouldnt want snakekeepers to get so offensive nor defensive or even 'stuck-up', like certain tort'keepers!

No, i don't mean like a breeder or anything like that.

I mean a person who buys rep's cheap, sells them 2 months later for a profit - that kind of thing.

To say somthing is going to a pet home then sell it a few motnhs later is totally wrong!

And no i don't think we will be like the tort keepers - those guys are scary

Sometimes though people buy for breeding and then their projects or circumstances change. I know I had 3 bearded dragons (not bought off the forum) but they turned out to be two males and a female, so unfortunately I had to sell one of my males and so I bought another female. And some people buy cheep at shows and then sell them on a few months later!

Come on I'm on the open I have bought animals from people on this forum and you can ask anyone of them if iv been honest with them they all know I have a shop the ones I don't say anything to are when I'm buying for me to keep

The reason I'm saying this is it don't make a difference look at mine never sold a animal over the net never will but I have bought loads..But I do look to see how long someone has been trying to sell something that may alter the value. To day has been the first day in the history of keighley reptiles and me to be out in the open and there is a reason for that as well.......

You can ask anyone who knows me if I'm honest !! but because I buy and sell reptiles does not make me a bad person iv bought reptiles knowing that I shouldn't but if i did not I know they would die does that make me a dealer or someone with a heart....

hope that lot makes sense.............

I think the point was not about breeders or traders more about some people (like a certain individual in snake classifieds at the moment)
who never seem happy with their collection!!!!!!!!!!

i've also bought to sell... due to the fact lcoz unlike most i cant afford to spend 100's on 1 snake so i buy cheaper snakes and trade them or sell them against another to better my collection and help someone else get a reptile they want and get rid of one they dont want...
