Ok, I know a lot of you like Japanese Koi , but I have probably spent close to £5000 + at this store, if not more, and they always treat you with the same cold , untrained I dont give a damn attitiude.

I have bought from them since I setup my marine fish tank , when I spent close to £2000 just for the rock, filters and skimmer.(to being with)

since then , I have spent many many pounds on fish , food, reptiles, including Burms , and including at least 2 vivs at £200 each.......

I am sick of going in there, like today and I asked, Hi , I understand you have a couple of red tailed racers, which was answered by ' NO!, not even a nice answer, like no , im sorry ,mate, but we do , but they are not for sale , it was just a blatent ' NO !

As if I was some idiot !!! , I have many snakes , and reps and have spent thousands of pounds in this store and do not deserve to be treated like this !!!!

I also asked about the their hog, which the guy was ok showing me , but when asked is it friendly was told its nocternal , so no , not good during the day , this hoggie was over a year old and still priced at £200 , unbelievable .........

I HAVE VOWED THAT THIS SHOP WILL NEVER GET £1 OF MY MONEY ANY MORE AS I CANNOT STAND TO BE CHARGED OVER THE ODDS FOR SOMEWHERE THAT WILL NEVER BE FULL OF INFORMATION OR HAVE ANYTHING UNUSUAL THAT DOSNT COST LESS THAN £200 !!!

same here. they are overpriced, dont get me wrong there animals are looked after but i feel that the employees there try to fob you off buying stuff that you dont need and they are just damn right rude and aragant! all they want is your money at the end of the day..i for one wont be spending any money in there anymore....£5 for 10 locust!!! RIPOFF

i now will use SuperReps in Kempston now, freindly staff and cheaply priced reps that are looked after and only £2 a tub of healthy locusts and crix...also the do 6tubs for £10!!!

I disagree. i find it to be one of the better shops in this end of the country. it has improved greatly over the past few years. ok the prices can be high but then its a large shop and the guys in the reptile dept who are very good, knowledgable people (with the exception of one). they are really laid back people, must have caught them on an off day.

iv found the staff ok not overly freindly but not bad, and the price's are high but its the closest one and i dont drive so cant go anywhere els for reps other wise i would

i wasn't going to go in again

went in the other day
and spoke to ben
(youngish bald guy)

and he was absolutely fab
helped with absolutely everything
and knew a heck of a lot

if we go in again babe i'll introduce you to him
if i go to buy anything again im going to head straight for him
as the other people i spoke to there seem to be a waste of time.

Jap koi is a great shop, shouldn't really post a thread up saying they are shit. everyone has bad days, perhaps the person you dealt with was in the middle of something? lets not write them off as they are one of a few decent shops in our area.

i agree, they are a good shop but just a tad over priced...maybee i did deal with them on a bad day..
