Not sure if anyone will notice this in this section but, I will be producing normal het granite this year (anerythistic bloodred), I usually charge £20 for normals. Never having produced this het, I'd be interested in knowing what people would think would be a fair price to pay for it? I sell full granite hatchlings at £100.

Being pretty much as far down south west as possible before drowning and not being able to drive, I have to stick with whatever my local sells their livestock for. For £70 at the moment I would only get a small early 07 Carolina/Normal. This would be one of those no know hets, no solid feeding or shedding record buys.
So keeping this in mind, if I was smart, I'd quite happily spend up to £150 on a pair, privately. Quite simply as they are much better than anything I can get close and have a nice 100% het in them. |

Well although I am a shop, I sell my corns at the same price I would sell privately, as I breed them all myself, I see no reason to charge retail prices over breeder prices.

Want to come and explain that to my local?
Neh,on a serious note I was out at a little party at the weekend talking to a friend about my two, she wants a corn snake but can't justify spending £150 odd on a tiny normal hatchling that has no certain past, a tiny hatchling tub and a hide. I know, I know, some people would, have etc but I think she is very like me, knowing the shop only need, say £40 roughly to cover themselves, the rest is only to line their pockets. I understand it is a business but meh, maybe we are just a tight lot down here? Just a question, you might not like answering which is fine.. Do you find you sell more thus make more, having the lower prices? |
