he/she asked me what price for my leo's that i am currently selling.......but i queried it as they had an ad on saying they were selling there collection sue to whatever there reason was.....which i can't remeber now.......anyway........all I asked is was they genuienly interested, they got VERY defensive and had a go at me for calling them a timewaster......which i didn't........anyway......i guess my hunch told me something.........or is it their own actions that tell us really what kinda people the honest folk have to deal with.......hhhhhhmmmmm

If anyone notices the advert on any other sites, report it to the admin on that site and include a link to his advert on here, this way his adverts should be removed from most websites.

just keep an eye out people

I'd say send him a few viruses...best you could hope for by that is the black screen of death hehehehe

I'd say it would take a lot of googling and studying to learn how to do so. What I would do though for anyone selling and buying is to go through paypal or a company similar. At least that way you get insurance and protection against fraud, money back and a sore seller or fraudulent person.

I got scammed on E-bay and reported it to paypal and paypal said they would look into the incident, and thats the last i heard from them. I found paypal no good what so ever and i lost out on £30 00 not a lot of cash but i got really pee'd off someone can do this and get away with it. Hope you have some luck in getting your money back.

Yeah...I suppose it would take a LOT of damage to get the black screen...

I got that idea from independence day, watched it earlier but I'm sure it happens to people out there though...

I've decided I'm only doing collections from now on and I'll only be paying in full when I pick up the animal/equipment etc. In some cases when I'm trying to get my hands on a sale which is proving to be very popular, I will put down a deposit, but I don't think I will be sending money before receiving the goods anymore using this website. It's sad that it comes to this because it has nothing to do with the site itself. The world of reptiles is an expensive world and it's just not worth the risk with idiots like this guy around.

If a seller is recommended by a moderator, only then will I consider the possibility of paying in advance or having items sent to me.

May I suggest that once a month, the most popular herp sites send each other a list of IP addresses for scammers such as this guy. That way, if he pops up on another forum with a different username, the forum will already be all over him. It wouldn't take much effort, just a quick email once a month sent to everyone on a list.
