opinions please
I sold something on here and the buyer said she would send me cash. On the day it was meant to arrive i had to pop out and what a surprise there was a red card in my letter box(not actually posted but hanging out of the letter box) I couldnt get to the PO that day to collect so went the day after and they couldnt find it, said the postie may not of left it at the depo. I went back today and they still couldnt find it, the red card says they couldnt deliver as it needed a signature and that it would be returned to the depo but they couldnt find it and told me to get the tracking info off the sender.
I have done this, checked the ref number on website and called the PO sorting office and they have told me to ring their complaints department which i aint got rund to yet as its an 0845 number. My problem is the buyer is moaning that they aint got the item yet. I arranged a courier on the day i got the red card but three times they never turned up so i cancelled that and decided to send via royal mail which had closed by the time my missus got there today so will be sent first thing tomo. Why the hell am i being moaned at for it taking a few extra days to arrive when i havnt even recieved any payment for it. Iam sending it out still coz i obviously know the buyer has sent the money but at the end of the day i aint got it, im sending it out still coz i think its the right thing to do. Will i end up getting the money? who knows but i dont think its fair that i shuld be getting moan at If the buyer had sent the cash special delivery instead of takin the cheaper optionand sending it first class recorded the money would be insured, agan not my fault Rant over

Yea I would say it was the buyers fault for sending cash in teh post, if it was that important they got the item they would have ensured that it got there through a safer method. I dont trust royal mail with my bills let alone my cash lol.
I wouldnt be sending out anything until i had the cash, but maybe ur a nicer person than me

but if the payment doesn't turn up due to the royal mail incompetance that puts you out. The buyer can't complain if you haven't received the payment. Usually when you're out and they leave a card you can pick it up from nearest sorting office after 4 hours so fail to see how it could have gone missing between your address and the mail office!

i know i will be out but so willthe buyer and i wouldnt want to be in that position. Its niether of our faults at the end of the day
