Default Free Berber Skink

This was adviertised a week or so ago and a few people replied, obviously, then the seller emailed interetsed partys (wrongly in my opinion) asking for money. They said its to avoid re-selling.

HOWEVER i've just noticed two adverts pop up on other sites for a berber skink for sale full setup £30.

Suspisious anyone. I'd just like the orignal seller to comment or if anyone knows of this sale to post please.

Someone is well within their rights to change the asking price of anything - as long as they'd not promised it to someone already at the previous price.
I understand he was inundated with pm's about the skink and was concerned that the word 'free' was the motivation for some of the pm's - obviously he wouldn't know who was genuinley after looking after it until it had gone (and possibly reappeared on the classifieds next week). I would also be concerned for any pet of mine in that situation!
£30 isn't much to ask - especially with the viv and all the equipment. If someone isn't willing to pay that then they didn't really want the skink that much in the first place, and so it may be better not going to them.

Soz ally think i didnt make myself too clear.

He asked for a good home for the skink, now people can offer money but not necessarily a good home. Thats why I thought it was a bad idea not everyone whos willing to take on a free animal is a scammer in fact 9/10 a free animal means something wrong as im sure you know.

I think this advert isnt the original owner. I think hes sold it for £20 and someone else has put it up for £30. I understand peoples suspisions but just because someone replys to give a free animal a home dosent mean they would sell it, its just the society we live in unfortunatly.

Yup, it's a shame, but I can see where someone may be coming from.

Exactly I mean im allways willing to take on unwanted lizard even ill one, heck my iggy was the sickest animal ive ever seen but I wont buy one (unless i really want it) as thats a space that could be taken by an animal that needs it.

I just hope the owner made the right choice.

Cheers on ther sig pic i will be adding more i think as im dead bored.

this animal was my mates, i gave him this site addy to advertise on. he got such a reponse to free that he phoned me and after speaking asked for offers. He was gonna give it away for free anyway to the highest offer, just wanted to see who was most genuinely intrested. looks like i've found it a home anyway

Hi all.

Wow, who'd have thought this would be such a hot topic!!!!

I was the person who put up the original post for Free Berber and have not since advertised anywhere else.

It was interesting to see how many people pulled out once I changed it to bids...as Chris says, I wasn't actually intending on making anyone pay, just weeding out those with perhaps other interests!

We now think we have found a good home for him...and for no money at all! Thanks for your obvious concerns though ;-)

Its ok mate it was never about you asking for money, i was just concerned that it found a good home.

I have seen two adverts on other sites so im worried the person you've given it to HAS decided to sell it not you.
