I sold a high priced item on ebay recently which was paid with paypal, which I had to send to Spain with the Post Office, costing me £42 (!!!), guaranteed to be delivered within 5 days. I could not get a tracking number for it (because it was international parcels and they won't let you track it) but it has taken almost 4 weeks to get there. My buyer was quite naturally getting a little worried whether I was scamming and we were just about to make a claim against the Post Office, but that takes ages to sort.
You might be getting scammed, but to be fair it could well be stuck somewhere in the system and I would hesitate to name and shame quite so quickly?

I havent name or shamed anyone - the op told me they would send recorded delivery and hasnt - they have no record of postage at all. I am not in spain and neither is the seller. So if the item does not arrive tomorrow I will name the OP

Ummmm....why are you asking for advice when it seems you've already made up your mind.
Just trying to help...

I always send items recorded mail so i can prove i have sent the item & also track the items to an extent....

If i pay for postage i expect things to be sent the same way..

At least your getting comms. If you were being ignored id be slightly more worried.

And as for I-Trader. Yes its there for people to see if they have bad comments on sales.. But just recently someone got scammed by a person that had 2 positive comments.

So not being actually allowed to name & shame i think is

I havent made up my mind, thats why I havent named the OP. I am just pointing out that my situation is different to the one you are describing. Ie the OP said they would post using recorded, then said they didnt to save money and habve no record, not even a reciept for postage. I genuinely hope I am wrong and will apologise if i am. But I also feel a responsibility to let other people know if there is a potential for them to be ripped off.

As I said at the beginning I dont want to make false accusations, but i dont want other people to get ripped

i have sent 14 items to different people in the u.k in the past 2 weeks, all he way up in scotland and all the way down in kent and devon, i sent all items first class recorded delivery and alsong as i got them to the post office before 12 (mid-day) on the day, they always arrived the next day. I always got receipt and that stuff too.
If this guy recons he has sent it and it aint arrived the next day, day after that at the max i would recon he's having you off! dont forget IF you do get the item, just look at the lable that they stick on with recorded deliveries as it will tell you when it was posted!! if he posted it when he says he did then you should take it up with the post office for paying for a service you didnt receive as first class recorded is AVRG:1 DAY, MAX: 2 days. And if the date on the lable isn when he says he sent it out then you know he is a liar and can name and shame him!

I think i can give a pretty good guess to the item youre on about. I remember it was his very first post on the forum which i thought was odd. whatever you do, do not close the paypal dispute because im sure once its been closed you cant open another if the item does not arrive.
