i think all these people doing it all go to the pet shops looking for reps and see that they are cheap enough but then they see the price of the vivs, UV's ect and think "i can get a dog or cat for nothing from the internet" so come to Places like RFUK and bring there little collection tin with them to see what they can get.

I disagree some people really care about these reptiles and don't want them to be mistreated. Those people deserve respect. There are to many adult iguana's and various other big reptiles which people can't look after.

Yeah those people don't deserve to keep them. I have over 25 animals and reptiles at mine now and I am not a rescue. I would only post for unwanted when my house has loads of vivs then I would take in monitors just becuse I think they are wonderful creatures.

Talking of rescue centres not knowing anything a rescue centre near me kept a rat in a dog carry case in the same area as dogs and was never handled when we got him he had been with the centre for 2 months was nippy as hell and would jump at any noice and stay in his house now hes ok but it took a while

I think Reptile rescue centers can be very helpfull for all the unwanted green iguanas etc, but peeps just trying to get free reptiles is just not on. So hard to tell who"s who sometimes though!!
