Fair enough if pouchie feels she needs to let other people know about this issue then she can, but its a warning to others, not a "lets kick emmas head in" thread as some seem to be offering that unacceptable service.
i personally dont think that the money should still be owed seen as the kit died so soon after leaving its mum regardless of cause of death, with the exception of neglect of course though i severely doubt emma would neglect any of her animals as im sure if she did diablo wouldnt be the only skunk to have died in her care. And i know pouchie says £500 is a lot to her, but its also a lot to someone who doesnt have a skunk to show for it.

i can also see how pouchie is annoyed that the pm results havent reached her yet but thats something that you just need to kee on at emma about. Could your vet not speak ring up her vet to get them?

However this gets sorted its not the nicest of situations for anyone involved least of all poor diablo

Unfortunately it was a last resort to do it this way. And agree that no-one should be threatening any violence.

Just because someone SEEMS trustworthy doesnt mean they are. However on the other hand just because something seems untoward doesnt mean it is.

So looking at the facts is the best thing to do.

The silence from the other party is really what I think is causing Pouchie to feel she had no option but to make this thread. I will say whilst waiting on post mortem results 18 months ago they took 12 weeks to be fully completed. They were sent to a wrong address etc so delays can happen BUT I would easily have been able to produce receipts for the post mortem. I would have gladly done so if proof was required for example from a breeder etc.

At this stage after over TWO months I would be also incredibly dubious as to what was going on. I would simply want direct fair contact, updates and proof.

That is not too much to ask for and perfectly within the breeders right.

As for the money owed I disagree that nothing more is owed in all eventualities despite the kit being young, i simply cannot see what that has to do with it until proof can be given to cause of death.

If indeed this kit was not protected properly and this is perhaps why it died how can that remotely be the fault of the owner whether it died due to mishap from a bite or something else at the buyers home.. irrespective of it being 2 weeks or 2 years old.

Accidents can happen noone is saying Emma meant for the animal to be hurt if indeed this was the case which is not proven however with NO pm, and with no proof its human nature to wonder.

If it was genetic that is also important to discover for obvious reasons.

Thirdly if it was indeed simply an anomally seizure this would put everyones minds at rest.

If Emma is unable to provide Pm results or proof Pm has been carried out I would suggest Pouchie is perfectly within her rights to be upset and dubious about how trustworthy Emmas side of the story is.

For Emma and Puchie it would be most advisable for Emma to contact Pouchie to sort this out.

Life and personal issues do get in the way at times and we can all have money worries but there is a responsibility of both buyer and seller when it comes to animals. Basic communication and honesty.

Having read this and other threads by/about Emmaj I am wondering how someone who doesn't work can afford to buy/keep all these animals ??

There have been at least 2 new Dogs this year and a £500 Skunk !

My partner and I work 4 jobs and 80 hours a week between us and we couldn't afford to keep that many dogs and other animals. But then again if she has them 'on tick' and knocks people for the money then I suppose nor can she. Assuming she is on benefits then it looks like we are actually paying for her animals.

I think that unless it is proven that the kit died from genetic causes then Pouchie should definately still be paid for the baby that died. Emma's lack of contact speaks volumes, and I doubt a PM ever took place.

In all honesty, I would want to see PM results if it was one of my pups and vet reports. (this I have done on one occasion when owner claimed she had dog put down on genetic disorder, when own vet report didn't tally with her statement in court as the dog had been seriously injuried during 'rough play' with her collie.) So yes, certainly has a legal right if you were to go through the courts, and show what pm results were. if genetic then yes, no payment, but if injury then yes, payment still needs to be made. you can't expect any breeder to refund you if you paod up front if that animal was then killed due to the new owners actions.

Pouchie, I really hope you get to the truth of the matter, I must admit that I would be very upset and suspicious if I were you, If nothing untoward happened then why the secrecy and lack of contact?

I didnt want to reply to this thread however I am going to now... Emma works around 34 hours a week, so WE are not paying for HER animals. Myself and my partner have ONE job each, we have an almost exaustive list of animals and we can afford to keep them... Dont 'assume' things as this what starts the chinese whispers, if you have the facts then feel free.. however you dont. I am sure emma gets family tax credit or something similar... my mother is one of the top business women in the country and still got family tax credit when we were younger... are you going to class this a benefits????

I dont know whats going on with the PM results, last i spoke to her was that she was still awaiting results from the PM and has been calling with them giving her no response... as someone said it took theirs 12 weeks to come back... but as I said who knows.
Emma cant give people what they want if she hasnt got it, so as far as I know at the moment she doesnt have the results...

this isnt aimed at anyone in particular, i am just saying what i know and what emma has said...

im not getting into a feud with people as imo its between emmaj and pouchie, as I said to pouchie earlier if she thinks its going to help to make this public, to hopefully resolve something then there would be nothing to stop her as its her right to want to try and get some closure...

I know this still doesnt really clear much more up but hope it helps a bit

OK so maybe Emma has got a paying job since she posted this - I didn't 'assume' anything, I read it on here.
