Right i think all of us nice people that use this forum have now had it with all the SCAMMERS about stealing our money we work hard for our money so why should they be able to just take it from us, its about time something should be done as it is just going to ruin a great forum like this, can the mods please help us all out and change the rules with people being able to sell things with like someone said they need like a set amout of posts and been a member for 90 days ect before they can be able to sell anything

I'm 100% for this but this would mean honest people like me wouldn't be able to sell on here for some time, but when you compare it to what those scum bags do then it's worth it.

Ive sold to members in the past with low post counts/newly signed up and on all occassions I have been very wary, fortunately ive never been scammed. I think some kind of regulation would be a good idea

Agree, I think it should be length of time personally as opposed to posts as it doesnt take long to rack up a few posts. It would mean some decent people out there would have to wait to advertise but would easily stop a good chunk of the one or two post wonders you get trying to scam people.

We just need to buy safely, paypal will refund if probs arise. Selling is where it gets tricky as paypal sides with the buyer 98% of the time. Check out your buyers and sellers before entering into a sale. Scammers need to be stopped, they are however every where you go.......

how about...instead of having a certain amount of posts ( RECS has how many? how many would order anything from him again? )

Instead, how about sellers have to pay a nominal amount to RFUK ( maybe £20 for a private seller and a bit more for a business) per 6 mos, to enable them to be a seller. They have to provide a full name, address, phone number (to be verified by a MOD/ADMIN) Before they can sign up to a sellers account, they have to have notched up at least 150 (random number) of posts ( helpful ones not just rubbish )

I think that's too much of an extreme, that's not fair on genuine users who sell small amounts of items or don't sell very often. Plus someone like recs would probably pay that, look at how much he made. I think having to be a member for a certain amount of time is a good idea. People that are wary of sellers could always ask for proof of id and address, i'm selling a few things at the minute and i know i'd be happy to show people proof. I'd suggest users who want to sell being able to provide id to mods and having it show up on your feedback that you've done it, but i'm guessing that would be too much hassle for the mods.
Edit: Didn't read the end of your post.
