If you have agreed a price for a reptile and agreed collection and the seller then contacts you and says they are selling to someone else for a higher price what do you say?

if they are really worth it, you've got a bidding war on your hands. If not curse at them loudly and quietly promise yourself never to do business with them again. Its happened to me before, it sucks!

You can either never use them again, or you can offer a higher price and let the battle begin... personally I would never back out of a deal once it's been struck, but it's been done to me a few times before.

I think it happens to everyone...and it totally bites a*se. I now insist on closing deals and collecting immediately - make sure theres no time for these unscrupulous sellers to screw you over.

we never have and never will do it.

Personally I think it's disgusting and shows the person up for having zero character. We would automatically never buy from or sell to that person again. Probably name and shame in here too, or leave negative feedback if possible or both.

As long as you don't swear or insult them I can't see a problem with letting people know how the seller acts, if you cant by post or feedback then whats the point.

i would never back out once ive agreed to sell something to someone just for financial reasons.

however i have been contacted by a seller and offered something for a slightly higher than listed price to guarantee i could have it.
At the time I took it without knowing it had been promised to someone else.
Just the way it goes really. Nothing you can do and until money has exchanged hands youve not really got anything you can do.

Well it is a bit 'low', depends on the circumstances really(generally), not just this case.
I've been offered extra money for summit i've already agreed to sell to someone else; i refused..... then the original person let me down! and the person who offered more had allready bought another! LOL
