Think you all should be getting in touch with his local trading standards and the local paper (apologies if you've already done it) this sort of person gives local tradespeople a bad name

my freind phoned the local council in plymouth and asked for the business phonenumbers in that area and serreal snakes wasn't listed as a company!!! and none of the local petshops had ever heard of them or him.......

so it sounds like he aint a real company and just makes these in his spare time.........thats most probably why everybody is missing bits, mats, casters, plinths, actual vivariums, refunds, deposits

The trading standards people will still investigate him, particularly if there are sufficient complaints. Another method of shaking him up a bit would be to get the DSS to investigate him. I understand he quit his job to do this viv building full time and I bet any money he is either claiming unemployment benefit, or "hasnt got round to" signing to pay his tax and National Insurance as a self employed person. He needs a bit of a shake up..it may not get your money back but it will shut him down
