hi all, i know this has nothing to do with me, bt i av read the thread and i think its terrible what this guy has done to people wanting vivs, and i just hope u all get ur money bk, sorri this reply is no help to any 1, bt jst thought wud comment.

Omg i got my money back
Ive been on ma hols and just got a bank statement through and he refunded the money on Monday. Only a week late but at least its there

I wasn't going to post in this thread as I really wanted to give Mr Clements the benefit of the doubt. Alas I was wrong.
I placed an order for a viv plus full heating/lighting for an adult male BCI, and as requested I paid a 30% deposit. That was December the 4th. I was told I'd have my viv by the 18th. 18th came and went, I emailed him 5 or 6 times (on both email addresses) and also sent him PM's on here. No reply. Eventually on January the 4th I got a phonecall from him promising me my vivarium that week. That week came and went, no viv. So I emailed him, no reply. I tried calling him a number of times, and did not once get an answer. So I contacted Consumer Direct, and as they suggested I sent him a letter recorded delivery quoting the consumer protection (distance selling) regulations, that I have the right to receive the goods within 30 days of placing the order. I sent the letter on 12th of febuary and stated I wanted the viv by the 22nd of feb or I was cancelling and wanted my deposit back. The 22nd was 80 days since I placed the deposit. The 22nd passed, nothing. No viv, not even a phone call or an email. On the 27th of febuary I called him, no answer so i left a message. The same on the 28th, 29th and 1st of march. On march 1st (saturday) I got a text back saying to text or email him my bank details and he would sort the refund out on monday, so I did. It is now wednesday and I still don't have my refund. Legally, he has 30 days from feb the 22nd to refund me the money, after that trading standards step in on my behalf. |
