Tomorrow I will be calling Trading Standards and the small claims court.

Good luck in trying to get your money back, its a mental strain when people rip you off and dont respond to your calls.

I am just off the phone to Consumer Direct, they are contacting trading standards on my behalf and trading standards will be in touch with me in 5 working days.

I urge anyone still owed money by this man to get in touch with trading standards also, as the more complaints they have the more likely they are to launch an investigation.

hi guys I live about 10 mins away from this guy in Plymouth do you know what his address is? I could try and find out if you want to visit him!
I was going to have a stack done buy him because he was just around the corner for me im glad I didn't. good luck getting money back if Ihave help in any way let me know guys we all need to sick together when things like this happen to fellow reptile keepers.

had this email from trading standards...

When you buy goods by distance means, such as by internet, phone or mail order, your contract is covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These Regulations provide that goods should be delivered within 30 days of ordering, otherwise the contract can be automatically cancelled. The trader should then refund you ASAP, however under the Regulations has up until a further 30 days to do so.

As this 30 day period has passed you should write (proof of postage and keep a copy) to the trader under the above law, setting 10-14 days for the rest of the money to be refunded to yourself due to the breach of contract on behalf of the trader.
