Good on ya, Kat! There's nothing wrong with black vivs and nothing that says "student" about them either.

In fact, if you read through all the posts in this thread, there are loads of "students" on it!!!

I have always chucked or given away my vivs, personally I wouldnt buy black, but only as it wouldnt fit my snake room, have seen some good setups in black though, especially once it has a light in it

I wouldn't buy black as I don't like any furniture in black. I am after a nice 4ft fish tank with a beech or maple stand... I like light colours!
