Default This really annoyes me !!

When folk have reptiles and they say there circumstances have changed they have no time is one thing that bugs the hell out of me

but the thing that annoyes me even more is when people have reptile that they now are of ill health and do not take to a vet there is someone on here who has been advertising for weeks

http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/equip...n-leopard.html

now if you read that then dont you think it is so cruel to try sell it on to distress it even more when he could just take to a vet or hand it over to a pet rescue or rspca or something this thread has upset me

dont wanna sound funny, but recently my circumstances seriously changed, where i was left with no partner, no money and a smaller house. would u rather i have kept my reps and not been able to afford to feed them? sry if i sound off but sometimes things just cant be helped and u have to put the animals welfare first.

same 'ere. i started a new job which was further away and i was out of the house longer. it was either keep mine and neglect them or sell them. I definately wouldn't turn down a job because i had to feed a reptile, the dogs yeah as they need more human interaction and don't live in a cage where they can poo,,,,,

i had to sell up all my reps last year because my son was taken into hospital for several months with what they thought at the time was something terminal (we have a terminal brain disease in the family). Due to no one being at the house and of course all of our time being spent with my son, i sold them on...Sorry but my son comes first and i did not want my reps suffering because i was not there to care for them, so i did the sensible thing and sold them to people who could give them the time and care that they needed.

this is the first time i have ever named and shamed anyone and i see it all the time on here but i feel selling a sick cham is wrong not to take it to the vet is very wrong when he knows its sick

if circumstances change fair enough but i see alot on here use that excuse then a week later they are buying another kind of lizard ect

its just my opinion dont go getting aggressive with me because of that this forum has gotten really bad with people doing that just because they have an opinion we all have them

i just feel it is unfair for that poor cham to be sold off into a new envioroment and be even more distressed when it could be at a vet being treated

In which case I think its far more proactive to advise the owners of your concerns, and offer some suggestions than to complain about it publically.

yes your right. For alot of people 'my circumstances have changed' = i want a different snake/lizard.

Thats just the way of it though. there is nothing to say people cant buy and sell animals every week if they want to.
In fact thats what traders often do anyway
