I've not been messed about in the exact same way.
I didn't quite hold anything for any length of time although it was something I was selling, they needed to grow up a bit.
I arranged to deliver them as I was going in the general direction.
I was delivering them over a 100 miles away.

At the last minute, although price was agreed, they came back with. I can get them at £4 each can you let me have them for that??? Hell I was delivering them a long way for free.
That was 3 days before delivery.
What I was selling wasn't even the same thing that they were getting for £4.
I was charging £25 for two which is less than the going rate.
I didn't even get into discussion.

I promptly got in touch with others on my waiting list and sold them to a good home.
Now I ask for a deposit if it's going to be a while before pick up or delivery.
I'm sick of being left 'holding the baby'.

I've also been messed around by sellers who say the price they want and with in a sec as i'm reponding there sold ect and in most cases i was the 1st to repond and i'm always very fair as with me who ever contacts me 1st has the chance to buy and before i sell on i ask them do you want as someone else wants ect

I've agreed to keep things for quite some time for people. Luckily the people I've done that for have bought what I was selling.
I try to accomodate as much as I can. I will deliver if I am passing or nearby.

It's when someone agrees a price and then when they can find lesser product/item at a cheaper price expect you to lower your price.

What I sell, I don't sell reps, I can sell over and over again.

It must be a little more difficult when you have something that not many people are looking for.

that ask you to lower your prices, or i've seen it cheaper at etc etc i think it should be kept to pm's in all honesty.

Like most people I get my share of time wasters.
For my hatchlings now I run two lists.
One for those that pay a £10 deposit per snake and a list of people who are just "interested".
I offer the snakes first to those who paid deposits and only after they have had their snakes are any offered to the people on the other list.
In 2007 very few people from the "interested" list got a chance at any of the rarer morphs.
If people from the "interested" do not then send something to secure the animals they wanted the snakes are made available via my site or the forums.
To be honest the worst 4 offenders for messing me around last year were ALL from this forum

However some of the nicest people to deal with are on this forum too

Last year I orderer some snakes from someone and then changed my plans.
I did not need the snakes but I bought them all the same, simply so I did not mess the person around. Later I heard someone was after the same types and passed the snakes on to them.

At least by now taking deposits I start with a list of good people who know what they want and rarely mess me about.

Its a shame because i was really doing this bloke a favour!!!
And i completely agree with asking for lower prices when you buy more than 1 of whatever it may be, but all these stupid w@nk£r$ that ask you to lower your price when you are already stretched half the time as so many people are breeding reps without having anywhere to sell them on to or knowing how much room and money it costs!

god im with you on that.i have had so much trouble recently selling all my geckos.its simple if you dont want it dont say you do and ask us hold it...its not hard to understand....anyone can pull out but let us know for crying out loud!

I give a discount on multiple purchases anyway and I was taking these to the person concerned for free.
That was a 214mile round trip.
Granted I was in the area, or thereabouts, but that's not the point.
I didn't ask for anything towards fuel even though it would have taken me 30-40 miles off my route.

Some people are just greedy and want everything for nothing.

well i got messed the other way a seller said his 2 dragons were still for sale couldnt get rid i arranged for him to drop them off only 11 miles he said hed bring them waited 2 days no reply mailed him twice and after the 4th day got a sorry forgot about you lol now thatsw a

take i reakon..

I had someone phone and tell me that they were coming to view my pups on saturday at 9:00 am. Guess what they never turned up. So my misses phoned there number to see where they were the could'nt even answer the phone to say sorry.
