A nice overview of some of the morphs of popular pet reptiles in the hobby

This is a great little book in the Barrons series about reptile genetic mutations in general. Easy to follow, has some great pictures to illustrate colour variants. Contains colour and pattern morphs of the families of commonly kept species including Lizards, snakes, amphibians, tutles and also contains a brief discussion on crocodillians. There are other books out there that are more complex, but as a general book on reptile colour phases this book does the job

| Liked about it |
1. I liked the full colour photos showing some of the different morphs of popular reptiles and amphibians.
2. I thought that although fairly brief the topic of genetics and the various traits was laid out in a manner that was easy to follow
3. The helpful terms to know section in the book explained it well for people who are new to reptile colour/ pattern mutations

| Didn't like |
1. A lot of the morphs are very common now, could do with being revised. It is more of a "look" at the pictures book rather then being packed with information on complex genetics and breeding results.
2. Due to all the NEW colour mutations out there today and the knowledge about reptile genetics, many people would feel this book is too basic
