Worth every Penny
Comments
This book is considered to be the best book that you can buy when it comes to Boa Constrictors, there localities and morphs. The author Vince Russo really knows his stuff and has packed the book full of useful information and colourful photographs. This book will be a useful resource for novice to experienced keepers and also for those who may be considering getting a Boa constrictor.
Again like other books in the ECO series it is not cheap but it is worth the hefty price tag that it sells for. You can get it for around £40 if you shop around

A Must Buy
Comments
This is a MUST BUY book for any snake enthusiast!!! This book covers pretty much everything there is to know about Boas, all of it is in good detail as well. Although some people may be paying up to 70 quid for this book, i would personally spend over 100 quid.
The book can be used by beginners and advanced because of the great way it is worded. Nothing is too complicated to understand and anything that looks complex is broken down very well.
I really would recommend this book to anyone.

It goes in great detail to explain where each subspecies is from and found, with some details on them in captivity.
I only paid 40 quid for this book, well, well worth the money.
Photography in this book is brilliant

Fantastic, well worth the money
Comments
This book was superb value for money in my opinion. It covered everything you could possibly want to know about Boa Constrictors, right from taxonomy (which to be honest I could never really grasp until I read this book)to localities,to breeding. All in all a fantastic read for those considering a BCI as a pet, and also for those like me, that have no intention of having a BCI, but just like to learn as much as they can about all things snake.

I liked reading about the writers own personal views.

The only thing I would say that could be slightly better is if there had been photos of the different stages of life, eg hatchling to full grown adult from year to year to show growth rate!

Excellent book!
Comments
This book is excellent. Well written, easy to understand at set to apply to keepers of many levels. It is very comprehensive and has a huge section on localities which can be a good thing for some but a waste for others. This book has some lovely pictures and a good genetics section which I found interested and easy to understand. This is an expensive book but worth the money in my opinion. I paid less than £35 for mine which was a great price so shop about! Overall great book and a must have for all those who want to learn more about snakes.

2. Good pictures and font size plus easy reading.

1. Goes into to much detail about localities.
2. I hate books with the paper sleave over the main book, I find this flimsy but it is such a minor point.

Worth every penny!
Comments
Although this book is seen to be pricey, I think the content is worth it. This is a book you can keep with you for the whole of your hobby. It's not just a book for beginners it will last you a life time with information, and a good insight into their natural surroundings as well as how each sub species and localities fair in captivity. I think this book as a fab all rounder as it was easy for me to read and understand when we got our first boa, but will also provide great reference through out the rest of my hobby.

The Complete Boa Constrictor

This is THE boa constrictor bible. It contains pretty much everything you could ever want to know about the Boa constrictors of central and south America. Information on evolution, habitat, localities, morphs, captive care, breeding, you name it its in here. Value for money, well there is nothing out there that even comes close to it, so whilst its not cheap, its a must for all boa enthusiasts, and IMO worth every penny.
