WOW these are amazing

these toroises are very fun to keep and very entertaining.it can sometimes be difficult to maintain the right humidity levels so i keep mine in a vivarium. they are definately not aggressive and mine is about the size of a sock and he's 4 years old. he is very veru active and it is funny to watch their antics. he is hand fed with weeds from the garden and very occasionally dark leafy greens

In love..

I love these tortoises, i must admit im very biast as i own a yearling called speedy who is rather quick. These torts are very active and out going.. mine likes to be hand fed and will eat anywhere for example sometimes i carry him in my palm to the kitchen for fresh fruit and he will sit on top a towel on the side an will start eating his fruit veg an weeds straight away! Nothing puts him off. Easy to keep, he lives in a 4ft vivarium as its easier to keep temps up and mainly the humidity. They can get quite large but at just over a year mines only the size of a jam jar lid, so shows you howslow they grow.

I found the red foots to be a lot of fun to keep. They are easy to look after. They have a very wide range of food they can eat. Mine would eat the odd Pinky. The love some fruit and will happily munch weeds. Mine lived in a very big Rabbit cage. They are laid back and at times lazy. They are slow to grow but to get big so you do need to think about how much space you have when buying them.
Mine liked to go outside and when it was bright got very active

Well worth it!

Redfoots are amazing to watch and are very confident with people once settled, which makes them wonderful to keep as pets! Redfoots are quite active tortoises and are always doing something for you to watch. My redfoots are kept in a tortoise table, planted out to keep humidity levels stable. The temp under their basking lamp is set at 33c and i turn the lights off over night as my house isnt overly cold. They have a 2% UVB tube on for around 5 hours per day. Redfoots will eat fruit, and my male adores mushrooms!
