This is the hide that I would get when I cannot find any others available or in stock. It does the job, but nowhere near as well as other hides nor does it look as good. Not to be used in set-ups with high humidity levels as it is very prone to growing mold. Being large it is quite heavy and therefore sturdy, but its smaller counterparts have to be half sunk into the substrate in order for them not to be moved around by the larger of the small animals.
Also, being double - ended they must be placed against the glass on one side so that the light cannot enter & disturb the animal.

Ideal for those big shelled tortoises or large snakes or lizards

It does exactly what it looks like it would, for a reasonable price and lasts a long time and very hard wearing, excellent for tortoises with large shells e.g. leopards and idian stars Also great for thicker snakes such as boas and young retics/ burms Also good for lizards like beardies and dab lizards. Thick and hard wearing and doesnt change shape or go off in either hot and dry or medium and humid enclosures, easy to clean and with a natural look to it too

Natural and great for display vivariums, hard wearing meaning it can take a good bashing from your animal and with its rough top bark effect good for animals who are shedding there skin, ideal for vivariums with more then one animal as have alot of room under or on top for both.

sometimes abit too big for the vivarium so cant put alot more into the vivarium, not very long so most the time some part of the animal is sticking out of one of the ends, not very good if your vivarium doors arent too big and cant be removed as being large hides and different sizes just make sure you get one that fits in the vivarium
