these basking platforms are an essential for any turtle tank! these inventions allow your turtle to get out of the water and completely dry off. if they couldnt do this your turtle would get fungus and other disgusting things on its shell. another great reason to buy this product is that its cheap and easy to use :)i recommend this to anybody new to keeping turtles and frogs. this turtle dock can also fit more than one turtle on it. the only problem is if your turtles are to heavy the suction pads that are on the glass of tank will break off. this only happens when you have either a fat turtle or a female red eared slider or mississippi map. males are of course smaller and could fit on it. i would advise ayone to get the large straight away as the small and medium are a waste of money as your turtles will grow to big for them in no time. the turtle dock should be accompanied by a UV lamp and a HEAT lamp.

this item is cheap and easy to use you can also by seperate suction pads if yours get to a point they wont hold onto the glass. they fit more then one turtle on it. looks realistic to. they can also be used in frog tanks

if i had a snapping turtle, a map female or a red eared slider female i would avoid this item as it would break easily under the weight of the turtle.

brilliant invention these are to allow your turtle the access to dry land instead of just water or maybe even a basking spot to catch some uv rays :) they come in different sizes of small medium and large, once turtles grow can easily buy a larger one or just buy a larger one in the first place. they stick to the sides of the tank using suction cups and these can easily be replaced if needed.

excellent product and great value for money

zoo med turtle dock is a fantastic product which is used to allow turtles to get in and out of the water, the dock comes in different sizes for your turtles needs, it also has a slope at one end which goes slighty into the water giving it great ease to get in and out of the water, the dock also comes with suction cups with enables you to attach to the tank with ease, i used to own terrapins and this product was great for them, they also use the dock if placed under their basking light to bask so they can dry out,

the turtle dock, a simple yet effective way of allowing your pet turtle's to get out of the water and into the heat to dry themselves off. It simply suckers onto the glass tank with suction cups and floats to whatever level the water is at.
Beware though this product being in water and then being dried out while your turtle swims then getting wet again leads to algae build up on the top, sides and underneath, this if not kept on top of will lead to permanent staining of algae.
Completely safe and easy to use, worth the value to keep healthy pets, does exactly what it says on the box, I like it.

Turtle heaven!

I use these turtle docks in most of our turtle tanks and recommend them to any turtle keepers. The turtles seem to prefer them as well. They are easy to clean and are much more secure than most other similar products on the market today. Also in the past few years that i have used these i have not had turtles trying to eat them or them dropping to bits like a lot of the cork bark ones tend to do over time. For the time that they last even with prolonged use from turtles they are well worth the money.

A superb product for the turtle keeper. It allows the turtle to easily get out of water, with out the need to build a sand or gravel bank, that would take up valuble swimming space, for the turtle.

-1 Very very hard to clean the alga that grows from the uv rays and basking bulb.
-2 As said larger, heavyer turtles like snappers will pull the suction caps off the tank.
-3 The small version is useless because your turtle would out grow in a few months.
