This product is quite versatile.
It is fixed in the tank by 4 suction cups. These cups are fixed to a framework that the platform is fixed to. This enables the platform to always stay at the same level as your water level.
The turtle dock platform is very light and appears to be made from polystyrene and is pretty easy to clean as long as you are careful with it.
There is a ramp at one end that sits below the water level enabling easier access to it when your animal is in the water.
I actually use this item in an oriental fire bellied toad tank. One half of the setup is land and the other half is water. This dock enables the toad to get in and out of the water and move from one area to another. Sometimes they will just sit on the ramp so that half of their body is in the water.
This product does what i wanted it to do and while it is sold as a turtle dock it does have many other uses so i would say that it is reasonable value for money.

Does what it says on the tin!

I thought that the turtle dock was good value for money and basically does what it says on the box!! It is really easy to clean as its covered in a resin-like coating. Whereas cork bark soaks up the water, moves round the tank and is difficult to clean, this item is perfect. It is big enough for my 2 one year old turtles both to bask on at the same time and will be big enough for some time yet. Also turtles will eat anything they can bite off but this is not a problem with this hard surfaced item. The idea that when the water surface lowers due to evaporation the dock lowers with it is great and works really well.
