nice and basic good value at a cheap price

Installation and Operation only intalation needed is drilling a few holes for heating requirements

Performance vs. Expectations not everyones cup of tea but i like them. doe the job if the plasit hasn't warped

Value for money if its cheap then its worth the money but i wouldnt want to pay over £100 for one as they are prone to warping/distorting with the heat.

Customer Support n/a

Liked about it like the vision with the slanted front
like the easy clean plastic design
like the humidity the vivs offer.

Didn't like not a lot of ventalation
doesnt give a good place to put a ceramic heater with the option to guard it safely.
the distortion after some time of the heat inside the vivarium

Do your research before buying!

Installation and Operation No installation required, this is a premade vacuum formed vivarium that comes with glass and a light fitting, all you need to do is add a guard to the light (and be careful not to crack it)and ad a heatmat or other heater.

Performance vs. Expectations Looking at other plastic vivs, you expect this to be extremely good.. but it does have many failures, saying that, the pennine vivs do state that the vivs can't withstand high heat, so its use at your own risk and you can't complain when it melts.

Value for money Its cheaper than other plastic vivariums, and its made cheaper too.

For the price, you'd be better buying a wooden viv, or making the effort to put an insulating layer between the heat source and the vivarium.

Liked about it Easy to clean.

Looks smart.

comes with fitted light fitting.

Didn't like Melts at high temperatures, not a good thing for reptile housing.

Despite being made to be stackable, the vivs will warp with the weight, to the point the glass pops out.

awkward shape, why not just make them square?

Well over priced...

Installation and Operation Its very easy to install sometimes it doesnt come cut with the fittings sometimes if does..if it doesnt be careful incase you drill and crack it, i think this is a alright product its waterproof which is good for high humidity reptiles and also its very easily to clean, also it is very lightweight so easy to move about. the instructions were very simple and not to complcated i mean its a vivarium its not that hard to set up!

Performance vs. Expectations its a alright product as ive said but for the price you could get a nice wooden 2ft vivarium! who would choose this over a wooden one?? it doesnt look as good..but the manufactorer does sell it as it comes...they dont lie to you!

Value for money its a waste of 54 pounds, go out and get a nice wooden vivarium for this price!

Liked about it lightweight
portable
waterproof
easy to clean

Didn't like melts if you use any heat over 14W i belive
looks cheap
not suitable for the climate of britain

Great quarantine/ tempory housing

Installation and Operation this viv is easy to use providing it has all the lighting and heating equipment properly fitted in it. Very easy to keep clean. This viv is waterproof so any spillages will stay within the vivarium. If the hopusing for the spot bulb and UV is not included you have to cut and drill holes in it. It should be moulded or fitted with UV as standard to avoid the buyer having to mess about with it when getting it home

Performance vs. Expectations No it has far more problems and cannot really be used as the manufacturer has designed it for. It is often sold as a snake/ lizards started kit but it can only be used properly for certain species

Value for money Expensive for what it is, however in terms of other poly vivs it is a lot cheaper

Customer Support No i have not dealt with them

Liked about it 1. Very easy to keep clean
2. Really good for tempory or quarantine housing
3. Tall and wide for semi arboreal species
4. Can be stacked so good for smaller rooms

Didn't like 1. Cant put too large a wattage bulb or ceramic die to fear of the viv melting
2. Ventilation is fairly inadequate
3. Doors can stick/ fall out

Ok for Geckos

Installation and Operation Used one for my Gecko's and they where good.
Was easy to clean and maintain
Also good for Temp housing or things that need a high humidity
They are cheap to buy and last well
Thinking one might work well for my Toad

Performance vs. Expectations Worked well for what i needed it for
Dont think they would be any good for things that need high temps
The glass could fit better but mine never got out
I think you just need to take care with what you put in it

Value for money I dont think this is bad money wise.
As long as you dont use hot bulbs and such it should last well
I only paid £50 for mine and got a lot of use out of it
The plastic is strong and wont crack like some.

Liked about it 1. They are strong
2. Easy to keep clean
3. Cheap to buy
4. Can look good when set up

Didn't like 1. Cant take high temps
2. Limited on what you can use it for
3. Glass could fit better

Waste of cash

Installation and Operation Simple to put together but getting the light to stay in place can be a pain. Or to make things worse if you don't want to put a light in and its a pain to block the hole up.

Performance vs. Expectations I was expecting so much more than this. The plastic warps extremely easy and even a heat mat on a thermostat warped the base. The glass was also shoddy and didn't close properly sometimes. Almost every animal ive had in one of these has escaped at some point. However it did hold humidity well.

Value for money ?90 for a giant plastic tub. Your really better off spending the cash and getting a wooden vivarium. There really isn't enough ventilation and it always look dark inside even with the light on. However putting even a small watt light bulb on for more than an hour is a bad idea with these things as the plastic will warp.

Liked about it 1. Easy to wash
2. Melts down to a compact form with minimum of fuss
3. Holds humidity well

Didn't like 1. Melts to easily
2. Glass never shuts properly
3. Escapee's all to common with these things

Want A Cheaper Alternative To Herptek/Vision Vivs?

Installation and Operation I have been using Pennie Vivs for over 7 years now and cannot fault them in anyway.

I have mainly used them for Rainbow Boas as they keep in the humidity well.

These are a cheaper alternative to the more expensive plastic vivariums out there and they do just as good a job then there rivals.

If you have a species that requires a humid environment then I would suggest buying one of these as they are very good at doing just that!

I have also used these to house normal boas and even the odd carpet python and have had no trouble with them in these vivs.

I would advise not placing another viv on top of these unless it was another pennie as I believe they would not hold the weight of a wooden vivarium well.

Performance vs. Expectations I think this product does perform well and for the price you can't go wrong.

Value for money This type of vivarium is defiantly value for money as you can buy another vivarium like this for the same price as most other plastic vivs are double the value!

Customer Support I have had no problems with these vivariums so have never had to call customer support.

Liked about it - Excellent for keeping snakes that require high humidity
- Value for money
- Good for using as display vivs also.

Didn't like - Not the strongest of vivs so would not recommend placing heavier objects on top of them.
- Apart from that an overall good vivarium
