A Very colourful Tarantula

Comments The Green bottle blue Tarantula is easy to look after - does well atroom tempterture and is only agressive towards the prey. Mine is always out in the open and makes some lovely webbing. Eats a medium cricket every week but will happy take more if it is offered.

Liked about it Love the colours of these.
Active.
Makes amazing webs and tunnels.
Great spider to own!

Didn't like Hard to find and quite dear to buy

My favorite T

Comments This amazing T is very easy to look after and they never seem to refuse a meal.
Their colors are amazing and they also web quite a lot which makes their viv look awesome.
They grow quite quickly and they get this amazing coloration at about L7-L8.
A quick note, they are considered semi-arboreal and not terrestrial as many care sheets say they are.

Liked about it + They are always out of their hide ready to eat
+ They don't refuse food much often
+ Just look at their colors!

Didn't like - They can get quite aggressive

Bit of a hard one to place...

Comments I'm a bit at odds as to where to rank this one... It is dead easy to care for and can be neglected a bit - but at the price these sell for you wouldn't want to! It's highly aggressive towards prey and moderately to being handled (not recommended). It grows pretty quickly and looks amazing but webs up its enclosure usually to such an extent that you never see it... The thing with this one is that I have never seen a vivid-coloured example. With B.vagans you see a plush black and a lovely red, with A.versicolor you see very vivid turquoises etc... with these, they only look good at certain angles

Liked about it -Always very active and hungry
-The most prolific webber I have ever seen
-Beautiful in the right light

Didn't like -Bit ratty... People may hate me for saying this but YES it does have nice colouration but all the ones I've had are very lanky and drab unless the light catches them just right
-Expensive
-Bit of a male-eating species

A must for any tarantula enthusiast.

Comments This is one of the easiest tarantulas to care for. They have a higher tolerance to temperatures and humidity. The have a decent growth rate and are ravenous feeders, without long periods of fasting found in other species. They make extensive and intricate webbing, usually consisting of a few tunnels. If this hasn't wetted your appetite, they are absolutely stunning from spiderling to adult.

Liked about it 1 - Colours
2 - Growth rate
3 - Webbing

Didn't like 1 - Not as commonly available as other species
2 - Difficult to breed

My Favorite Tarantula

Comments Stunning tarantula without exceptions and easily my favourite tarantula. Id suggest getting one of these from a baby and watch it change patterns and colours till it reaches adulthood. Its unusual in that each individual tarantula will have its own preference to burrowing, land dwelling and arboreal, sometimes switching between each of them at different stages in its life...or if it just wants too. While not aggressive it is a bit of a jumper and weaves extremely heavy webs. They do seem to be quite playful to watch but can be reclusive.

Liked about it 1. Awesome tarantula both for colour and temperament
2. Changes its style and colour throughout its life
3. Easy to care for

Didn't like 1. Hard to get hold of
2. Can be expensive
